Nutrition Genetic Testing
Are you drinking too much coffee?
What about salt?
How may a high fat diet affect your risk for heart disease?
Are you getting enough Omega 3 fatty acids?
Nutrigenomics can help answer these questions.
Nutrigenomics is the study of how individual genetic variation affects a person’s response to nutrients and impacts performance, weight and health.
Once you have your genetic profile, you have the insight to determine the best actions to take...for YOU!
I am now offering testing through Nutrigenomix, a global leader in genetic evaluation. A simple saliva test done in in the privacy of your own home can reveal how your body responds to different foods and nutrients.
The Nutrigenomix test is available only through qualified health care practitioners, including Registered Dietitians. I am now offering this tests to my clients.
If you would like to find out more contact me.

My Story
My story is inspired by my mother, a food scientist, who developed my early kitchen-confidence. I was armed with a Suzy-Bake oven and a box of recipes, and I knew how to navigate a grocery store. My mother shared her wisdom as she skillfully selected ingredients and transformed them into creative and simple family meals. Fast-forward to today, and my siblings and I still love to cook and eat together. I cherish these times, and I am so thankful for my mom's natural tutelage. Food memories are so powerful. It shapes our relationship with food and our health.
My goal is to encourage each client to savor every bite and create positive food memories for themselves, family and friends!
During my career in dietetics and business, my work required 50% travel. I was challenged to bring healthy meals to my family’s table. Could I meet this challenge and be "meal ready"?
The science of nutrition must be translated to ingredients, and easy and interchangeable recipes and meal plans to realize good food and health.
Despite a lifetime of focusing on good nutrition and health, post knee-surgery I experienced a cascade of health issues. Though modern medicine ruled out many conditions, I was left with many unanswered questions and most importantly, a dramatic effect on my wellbeing and lifestyle.
Through my training in integrative modalities and functional nutrition, I developed an understanding of how body systems work together and the importance of understanding the root cause of disease. Working with condition-specific foods, bio-active compounds, and supplements, diet becomes a powerful way to support healing.
We all have an innate vitality; an ability to heal ourselves. Each bite of food is information and if compatible with our biology, food helps us tap into our vitality.
Today you will find me rejoicing in my renewed health. . .and in our community, teaching in schools, socializing at the farmers' market, speaking with groups, experimenting in my kitchen, and hiking or skiing the trails in the beautiful mountains of McCall.
I am grateful for my life's journey and eager to share my passion for health, good food, and the beauty of nutrition.
